Watermarks serve as an effective measure to enhance document security, preventing unauthorized use or redistribution by users. elDoc provides an automated watermarking feature to ensure controlled access and proper use of sensitive documents.

Enabling Watermarks in elDoc

To apply a watermark to a document:

  1. Access the File Management Module and select the document requiring protection.
  2. Navigate to the Selected File Details section by clicking on the selected file and specify the watermark attributes, such as the user’s name, timestamp, and any confidentiality label.
  3. Save the settings. The watermark will be automatically applied whenever the document is accessed, displaying user credentials, the date of access and other labels.

Applying Watermarks to Multiple Documents

For batch watermarking, enable the “Inherit Watermark Settings” option. This ensures that all documents within the designated folder or subfolders automatically carry watermarks upon access.
