The File Management module includes AI-powered features such as OCR, Computer Vision, RAG, and LLM models to better process and understand your documents and data (please ensure your subscription plan includes AI features). The available AI capabilities include:

1. AI Indexing (Automated Data Capture)

Automatically extracts predefined data fields directly from documents, reducing manual data entry (Read more: Configuring fields for AI Indexing). 

2. AI Document Classification & File Organization

Use AI to automatically classify and organize your files. For example, in the elDoc AI Document Buddy chat window, you can run prompts such as:

“Classify and group these files by document type and year.”

elDoc will analyze your documents and organize them accordingly. Make sure your prompt is precise and clearly defined.

3. AI Chat for Deep Document Analysis

Use AI Chat to perform in-depth analysis of your documents and data. Deep Document Analysis can be applied to:

  • A single document,

  • Selected files (when analyzing multiple documents), or

  • A large dataset, such as multiple folders containing many files.

For more detailed and comprehensive analysis, enable the “Use Full File Content” switch in the AI Document Buddy chat window. This allows the AI to consider the complete content of the selected documents during analysis.

Important Note: If you upload new documents and want them to be included in analysis, ensure that the document’s OCR Text Index status has changed from Pending to Ready.
You can check this by right-clicking the file and selecting Details. Documents that were previously uploaded and indexed will already have a Ready status and are immediately available for analysis.
