What are the hardware and software requirements for elDoc?

elDoc scales from small deployments to high-volume enterprise environments. Infrastructure can be sized according to the number of users, document volumes, AI models, processing workloads, and performance requirements—allowing elDoc to fit existing IT architectures and scale as adoption and processing demands grow.

Which document formats are supported for storage in elDoc?

elDoc supports both computer-generated files and scanned image documents including but not limited to: .xml, .pdf, .doc, .xls, .jpeg, .tiff etc.

Which recognition languages are supported?

elDoc supports 150+ recognition languages and writing systems, including English, German, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Khmer, Malay, Arabic, and many others.

For On-Premise deployments, supported languages depend on the configured OCR and recognition technologies. For Cloud deployments, language support may depend on the configured cloud OCR service.

Can elDoc be integrated with third-party apps?

Yes. elDoc can be integrated with third-party applications and enterprise systems through its APIs, enabling document, data, and workflow integration across existing business environments.

What databases and search technologies does elDoc use?

elDoc uses several data and search technologies, each serving a specific purpose within the platform:

  • MongoDB — primary database for application data, metadata, and document-related information.
  • Apache Solr — full-text indexing and search across enterprise documents.
  • Qdrant — vector database supporting semantic search, GenAI, Agentic RAG, and enterprise knowledge retrieval.

This architecture combines structured data storage, full-text search, and vector-based AI retrieval to support both traditional document management and GenAI use cases.

Can elDoc be integrated with Active Directory?

Yes. We have already set this up for you. Please refer to the elDoc Documentation for more details.

Can elDoc support multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

Yes, it is supported. To enhance the security of your access to the system, you can enable multi-factor authentication (MFA), also known as two-factor authentication (2FA) in the elDoc. Any authenticator application that supports the time-based OTP (TOTP) algorithm can be used for MFA activation. 

Does elDoc operate on more than one platform or operating system, i.e., is it cross-platform? 

Yes, the elDoc system is cross-platform as it is built on Java. The system supports installation on OS Linux or OS Windows Server, but the recommended platform is OS Linux 9 (RedHat or Rocky).
