elDoc allows authorized users to securely share files and folders with internal users or external parties while maintaining control over access and permitted actions.

Files can be shared via email or a direct link, with configurable security and access settings.

Set Sharing Permissions

Before sharing content, ensure that the required users or groups have the Share permission configured in File & Folder Permissions. Only authorized users can share protected content.

Configure Sharing & Security

When sharing content, elDoc provides multiple controls that can be combined according to security requirements:

  • OTP Protection: Require a One-Time Password (OTP) sent via email.
  • Password Protection: Require an additional password to access shared content.
  • Expiration Date: Define when access to the shared content expires.
  • View Mode: Control how shared content is presented to recipients.
  • Watermark: Apply a watermark to shared content.
  • Recipient Permissions: Control whether recipients can Download, Upload, Edit, Delete, or Share the content.
  • Internal Note: Record the reason or other internal information related to the sharing activity.

Sharing activities are recorded through the audit trail, providing visibility into access and actions performed on shared content.
