Intelligent Document Processing is a quality-driven process managed by the elDoc system, which analyzes the confidence levels of the retrieved data on a per-character basis. For instance, documents scanned with high quality tend to produce results with high confidence levels, while documents with poor scan quality or artifacts, such as notes over printed text, may result in lower confidence levels.

Document validation is required in the following cases:

  • A required field or data value in the document was recognized with a confidence level below the threshold defined in the recognition rules.
  • The appropriate recognition form (RecoForm) was not found or matched for the document.
  • Two or more recognition forms (RecoForms) were matched with the same confidence level for the document.
  • An exception occurs that does not align with the post-processing rules or other implemented logic.

  • Errors occurred during the Conversion phase.

Performing Document Validation

Only authorized users can validate documents. Documents requiring validation are moved by elDoc to the Inbox of the assigned validators. For instructions on how to assign validators, please refer to the section "Assign Validators." Learn more: assign validators

Additionally, the assigned user(s) receive email notifications containing a summary of the documents pending validation and direct links to access them.

During the Validation phase, the elDoc system allows only one user to edit a document at a time to prevent collisions and overlapping of edits. For other users, the document will be locked for edits and available for review only.
